When hiring a freelancer to write content for you or even if you are doing it for yourself, knowing how many keywords to include in your content is vital to ensuring the success of your SEO advertising.
Kawaii Content delivers work with a standard 3% keyword density as this has commonly been seen as the "ideal" percentage for most content. However, this is not set in stone and no one really knows the exact value of keyword density that is optimal. If you require a different keyword density to be included in your articles just let us know and we will create the articles with your given keyword density in mind.
Many websites often require only a 0.6%-1% keyword density so as to completely avoid any problems with lack of quality of content due to keyword insertion. However, we have found through past experience an article can include up to 3% keywords without loosing quality and natural flow.
Too Many Keywords
The problem many websites face today is how google and other search engines rate their website content. While google is largely automated, it has some very clever algorithms in place to detect SEO abuse and if it feels your content is there purely to get page rank it will flag your website for review by a google employee. This means a human will visit your website and decide for themselves whether or not your content is helpful or just a bunch of keywords. If they decide your website employs bad SEO practices your website will be unlisted from google and banned from associated google web tools such as AdSense.
Many people ask how much is too many keywords? Well, there is no real definitive answer for this. The amount of keywords you include should be proportional to the content word count and it should also not impede in any way whatsoever the natural flow and syntax of the article. That means when a visitor reads your article they notice the helpful information it contains and not the keywords inside it. I would definitely never recommend any articles to contain a keyword density at about 6% or above. As mentioned previously, we wholly recommend a 3% keyword density in our SEO articles.
or Not Enough Keywords?
Aside from not having too many keywords you will need to also ensure you do not have too few keywords in your content. As a minimum we would recommend having at least a 0.6% keyword density in your content (3 keywords per 500 words). This will ensure that your article while informative and useful to readers is also recognised by search engines as being relevant for those keywords. The more relevant your website content is to a particular topic and selection of keywords the higher up your website will be displayed on search results.
It's important to find the right balance between too many keywords and not enough keywords to ensure your articles are both Search Engine Optimised and also Search Engine friendly and ethical.
